Lisa Holtham
NZMSM Teacher
Lisa is a graduate of The University of Auckland, where she earned a Bachelor of Music with a major in Composition, along with a Diploma in Education. Her innate curiosity has driven her to explore a variety of musical instruments, the transformative power of music-making, and effective methods for guiding others in their learning journeys. Beginning her musical education at the age of eight with the classical flute, Lisa's passion for music flourished over time. She later ventured into jazz clarinet and devoted much of her time to piano including modern piano. Residing in Buckland, Lisa offers music lessons at Pokeno, Karaka and Puni schools, as well as from her home studio.
Lisa believes music pedagogy can make a profound impact onto other people’s lives. She hopes to tailor each learning experience to be enjoyable, enriching, and supportive. Encouraging her students to perform at NZMSM music competitions and guide them through NZMSM examinations, should they choose to pursue these opportunities.
