Kath Davey
NZMSM TeacherKath has dedicated 18 years to teaching guitar for New Zealand Modern School of Music. Residing in Beachlands, she provides lessons at both Beachlands and Clevedon Schools. Raised in a family deeply influenced by music, Kath attended her first music festival at Glastonbury when she was only six months old. This early exposure instilled in her a lasting passion for music.
Kath’s primary objective is to ignite her students' passion for music and the guitar. In alignment with the New Zealand Music School of Music curriculum, she adopts a student-centred approach, emphasizing musical styles and selections that resonate with her students' interests. While instructing in guitar, Kath aims to foster a lasting appreciation and love for the instrument.
